What Can You Do To Take Control Of Your Health?

Have you been thinking about your health lately? There are so many aspects of health, and it’s important that you are considering as many of them as you can throughout your life. It’s time that you take control of your life rather than just not thinking about the consequences of what you are doing. In this article, we’re going to be taking a look at some of the things that you can do to take control of your health, so keep reading if you would like to find out more.

Educate Yourself

The first thing that you should do is educate yourself on health. You need to know what to do, what is bad for you, and what is going to keep your health in the best possible condition for as long as possible. Knowledge is power, and this is true of all things, especially your health. How are you supposed to look after yourself if you don’t actually know what things you need to do to achieve this goal? The short answer is that you can’t, and this could be detrimental to your health in the long-term.

You can take classes on the human body and health, or you can simply do the research on your own. No matter which way you choose to do it, you are getting the knowledge that you need to look after yourself, and that is the important thing.

Get Involved Professionally

Another thing that we are going to mention is that you could get involved professionally. There are a number of different avenues that you could go down to do this. For example, you could become a personal trainer and help people to reach their health and fitness goals this way. Or, you could break into the food industry and instead of going for fast food, choose to serve healthier options for those that want this. There is a huge gap on the market right now for a food place that sells healthy, but quick food, so it might be something to look into.

This way, you’re not just taking control of your health, but you are helping others to do the same with theirs.

Speak To A Doctor

The final thing that we are going to suggest is that you go and speak to your doctor. It’s important that you know if there is already something underlying that you don’t know about just yet. A doctor can do a checkup and order a few tests to check the condition of your health, and then give you advice about how you can improve your lifestyle. It’s better to know now so that if whatever the problem is can be treated, you can start sooner rather than later.

We hope that you have found this article helpful, and now have a better idea as to some of the things that you could do to take control of your health. It’s important that you do this sooner rather than later, otherwise it could be too late to reverse any lasting impacts from your previous lifestyle. We wish you the best of luck, and a long, healthy life.

JUMBO CHOCOLATE - CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

These BIG chocolate cookies are addictingly delicious!! They are buttery, rich and chocolate-y, studded with mini chocolate chips and it all comes in a whopping 4" soft cookie that tastes like a brownie!!

JUMBO CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE-CHIP COOKIES
THIS RECIPE MAKES 17 BIG COOKIES

2 cups flour
1 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/3 cups brown sugar (packed)
2/3 cup granulated sugar
10 oz. pkg. MINI chocolate chips
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
pinch salt
3 teaspoons vanilla
2 eggs
1 cup melted butter

Whisk together the flour + cocoa + baking soda + salt (set aside)

In your stand mixer, mix together the melted butter + brown sugar + granulated sugar + eggs + vanilla.  Mix until smooth.

Add the flour mixture (1/2 at a time), mix well between each addition (batter will be VERY thick). Add the mini-chocolate chips and mix just until well incorporated.

Form cookies into large ball (1/4 cup each in size). Flatten each cookie JUST A TINY BIT, then place on parchment paper lined cookie sheet with 4" space between each cookie. I add a few extra mini chocolate chips on top of each cookie, but you don't have to.

CHILL FOR 2 HOURS.

Take chilled cookies out of refrigerator while your oven is pre-heating.  Bake 14 minutes, or until top of cookie is just "set". Don't over-bake.

Let the baked cookie sit on the cookie sheet for at least 5 minutes before you move to a cooling rack.

NOTE: I wrap this big cookies individually before I put them in the cookie jar. It keeps them soft.

NOTE: As "Empty Nesters" I'm always looking for smaller desserts. So, when I make these monsters, I usually shape and freeze a few (unbaked). I just pull a couple out of the freezer and bake them a couple minutes longer than the regular directions.

They make a quick and easy dessert for us empty nesters. Just remember to let the baked cookie sit on the cookie sheet for a few minutes before you try to move them.

ENJOY !!!!!

Why Nandos Pasta?

Nandos Pasta is an excellent twist that I know you will love.

After recently creating my creamy vodka pasta recipe, I thought the spice and creaminess would translate well to something with Nandos flavour.

A decent Nandos Fakeaway is always a winner in my eyes, and now that I have perfected my own piri piri sauce, I can use it in this dish.

This is super easy to make, and only uses one main pan other than cooking the pasta. The beauty of making your own piri piri sauce is that you can adjust to taste to be as spicy or non spicy as you like!

Of course, you could also cheat and buy the ready made Nandos sauces to use as well. You could also try making this with my Nandos Lemon & Herb sauce if spice is not for you!

I used tagliatelle pasta in this dish as it was I had in the house, but you could use any dried pasta you like.

I usually make up a big batch of the piri piri sauce and either freeze it or keep it in jars so I have some to hand when I need it.
